ruffles and flowers

Do you ever have those days where you stand in front of your closet for what seems like an eternity? You look around and nothing seems quite right... Today was not one of those days! I picked out the tights and everything else fell easily into place. Gosh, I wish all morning were that easy!

We took pictures on campus today. I'm really going to try and take my photos before I get home. I go to such a beautiful campus, and it's a shame that I take most of my pics on my balcony.

This shirt was an amazing deal. I got it at Dillard's for a little over $3. I'm glad I finally got to wear it before it gets too warm out.

I'm making a strange face in this picture, but I felt like it best showcased my outfit. My lips even match the flowers <3

saturday in the park

It was absolutely gorgeous Saturday, so my boyfriend and I headed to the park to take some pictures. Now, I finally had some good photos to chose from. This is what I narrowed it down to.

I recently purchased these trousers and was a little unsure of how to wear them. I finally decided on a simple white blouse, and kept the accessories minimal yet still eye catching. I think the colors ended up complimenting the scenery.

While they don't have an exaggeratedly high waist, they were still a bit higher than what I'm used to. That's part of the reason I love this blog. It really challenges me to step outside my comfort zone and try new things. I'm really glad I did, because this is my favorite look so far.

This photo reminds me of the old marlboro ads.

The dangerous predicaments I put myself in for my blogs. You should have seen my boyfriend on the other side of the bridge. He was practically standing on the railing to get some of the photos.

Thankfully I never fell into the water...but I did come close!

I used my hot rollers to achieve this look. While my hair wasn't curly, it did have some nice body. I think the softness of the hair balanced out the masculinity of the watch and trousers.

I adore men's watches. When I'm no longer a poor college student, I'm going to buy myself a nice men's watch.

I picked out these flats for the lovely paisleys. From a distance this look might seem very simple, but it's all in the small details.

This purse was a great find at a thrift store. I feel like it's my "grown-up" purse. Something about it makes me feel sophisticated.
